Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation focused on Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The broadcast is scheduled for August 4 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, promising approximately 20 minutes of new game details.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave marks the first entry in the long-running tactical-RPG series to be developed exclusively for Nintendo's Switch 2 console. The game was last featured during the June Nintendo Direct, where initial details were shared. Players will guide four main champions competing in the Dagosian Games, a high-stakes tournament. Combat will occur within arenas, a shift from the traditional battlefields of previous Fire Emblem titles. Outside the tournament setting, players can expect to explore new locations and confront bandits.
Each of the four champions will possess a special crest granting unique combat abilities. The game will also incorporate social events alongside its core combat and exploration elements. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is slated for release on September 17. It is positioned to launch in a busy month for new releases, preceding major titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Grand Theft Auto 6.
Preorders for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave are now available. The standard edition is priced between $70 and $80, with options for both physical and digital versions. A Special Edition is also offered for $120, which includes the full physical game and a collection of exclusive collectibles.
