Roblox's Fisch is kicking off 2026 with a New Year’s Countdown event. The celebration runs for a half-day on December 31, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern and finishing 12 hours and 26 minutes later at 12:26 a.m. Eastern on January 1, 2026.
Alongside a dedicated New Year’s countdown timer, players will see special decorations and fireworks lighting up major fishing points. The event also introduces rare and event-exclusive fish and mutations, mirroring the structure of prior seasonal events such as the Christmas gingerbread and peppermint mutations. All event loot is temporary and will vanish once the countdown ends, so participation must occur within the window. For international players, the start and end times translate to 9:00 a.m.–9:26 p.m. Pacific Time, 5:00 p.m.–5:26 a.m. GMT, 6:00 p.m.–6:26 a.m. CET, 10:30 p.m.–10:56 a.m. IST, 2:00 a.m.–2:26 p.m. JST (Jan 1), and 4:00 a.m.–4:26 p.m. AEDT (Jan 1).
The event is a one-time occurrence and will not return until December 2026.
Details released by the Fisch team emphasize that the New Year’s Countdown is more than a cosmetic event: the countdown UI, the added fireworks, and the spread of unique fish and mutations are integrated into the core fishing experience. Players are encouraged to check in before the wind-down, as the content is designed to disappear after the event concludes.
Content beyond the event includes practical help for players interested in optimizing their runs for the limited-time loot. The game’s community ecosystem maintains a repository of active Fisch codes, the full bestiary, and recommendations for the best fishing rods to equip, aiding players as they pursue the event-exclusive creatures.
