A new showcase event called "For One Night Only" is set to celebrate and highlight the work of UK video game developers. The approximately 60-80 minute livestream will include new trailers, exclusive reveals, and interviews with notable figures from the UK's gaming industry, a sector with a long history of creating well-known franchises.
The event aims to spotlight the world-class games being produced by British studios, featuring contributions from established companies such as IO Interactive, Team 17, and Criterion. Comedian Bec Hill will host the showcase live from Outernet in London's West End, in front of an audience of industry professionals.
Attendees can expect to see content from both major publishers and independent developers. Confirmed participants include Annapurna Interactive, presenting The Lost Wild and Silent Hill: Townfall; Bandai Namco with Little Nightmares 3; IO Interactive showcasing 007 First Light; and Yogscast Games featuring PlateUp!.
In conjunction with the showcase, a special Steam sale will run for participating British video game studios. The sale begins at 6 PM BST on July 29th and will last for one week, offering discounts on featured titles.
For One Night Only is scheduled to stream on Wednesday, July 29th, at 7 PM BST / 11 AM PST. The event will be available to watch on platforms including IGN, YouTube, Facebook, X, Twitch, and Steam.
