A former Disneyland character actor has publicly defended a fan whose viral social media posts have led to accusations of stalking. Dylan Gadeke, who portrayed Peter Pan at the California theme park from 2014 to 2021, addressed the online controversy surrounding a fan known as ‘babytoni99’ or Toni.

Toni is a frequent visitor to Disney parks and regularly shares photos and videos of her experiences, often interacting with the Peter Pan character actors. While Gadeke acknowledges that some of Toni's interactions may appear awkward or overly enthusiastic, he maintains that she has not violated any park guidelines or personal boundaries.

Two videos posted by Toni have garnered significant attention online. One TikTok video, which has garnered over 43 million views, shows Toni gifting a Peter Pan actor a crocheted keychain and following him through the park. Commenters on the video noted the actor’s apparent discomfort. Another video, posted to Instagram, compiles various clips of Toni’s interactions with different Peter Pan performers over a decade, suggesting her attention is focused on the character rather than any specific individual.

In a TikTok video posted on August 17, Gadeke stated that while Toni's behavior made him “a little awkward and uncomfortable,” it never “crossed any boundaries of what character interactions should look like at Disneyland.” He urged viewers to cease the harassment and online toxicity directed at Toni, emphasizing that she is acting within her rights as a guest. Gadeke suggested that the best way to handle overly enthusiastic fan behavior is to “cut off their supply to attention” by refraining from liking, commenting, or sharing her content.

However, Gadeke's plea to end the discourse was met with confusion by some viewers, particularly after he mentioned a story about “another stalker.” Online commenters interpreted this remark as an admission that Toni herself might be a stalker, despite his earlier defense. Toni has continued to post her Disney content and briefly addressed the controversy in an August 5 TikTok video, dancing to Beyoncé’s “Partition” with a caption implying that if the actor had not wanted to interact, he would have left.
