Jimothy, the internet-famous raccoon, has arrived in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 as a free sidekick. To unlock this new companion, players must complete a Fortnitemares quest that involves finding and extracting a Dumpster Dive sprite.
Acquiring the Dumpster Dive Sprite
The most reliable method to obtain a Dumpster Dive sprite is by defeating the boss Freddy Krueger. This formidable foe can be found in the Nightmare Neighborhood, a new point of interest added to the map. Upon defeat, Freddy Krueger is guaranteed to drop a Dumpster Dive sprite.
Freddy Krueger may sometimes appear disguised as another character, such as The Order. Interacting with the disguised boss will reveal his true form and initiate an attack. While landing directly at Nightmare Neighborhood can be a high-traffic area, making it challenging to secure the sprite, Dumpster Dive sprites can also be found through cheat codes scattered throughout the map.
Extracting the Sprite and Unlocking Jimothy
Once a Dumpster Dive sprite is in your possession, it must be extracted. Players can opt for normal extraction methods or utilize a portable extractor for a faster process. Successfully extracting the sprite will grant players the Jimothy sidekick and unlock a related questline.
Completing the Jimothy sidekick questline rewards players with three items: a Jimothy banner icon, a Jimothy Heart sidekick reaction, and the Celebrity Trash Panda sidekick emote. The viral raccoon itself is now available in-game, ready to accompany players on their Fortnite adventures.
