Fortnite's popular Reload mode is bringing back its recreation of Springfield from The Simpsons, and players will have the opportunity to unlock John Wick as a playable character. The character, based on Keanu Reeves' portrayal of the assassin, will be available to players who own the current battle pass.
The Springfield map initially featured in a mini-season late last year and has now returned for the Reload mode. Fortnite Reload offers players three lives and quick respawns. This iteration of the map supports 50 players and includes Simpsons-themed items, aiming to recreate the chaotic gameplay of the original battle royale offering.
New additions to Reload include "The Confidential," a neutral zone with passive healing where proximity chat is enabled. Players who choose to engage in combat within this zone will be marked for all other players, with higher-quality loot available for those who eliminate them.
Additionally, a special John Wick Sprite can be acquired in Reload, which can then be used in the main battle royale mode. This Sprite reveals nearby enemies after a player knocks or eliminates an opponent. Solo players will also be able to earn additional reboots by damaging opponents, and chests will now restock over time.
John Wick will join Homer Simpson in Fortnite Reload starting Thursday, July 30, and will be available for approximately three weeks.
