The long-rumored collaboration between Fortnite and One Piece has been officially confirmed with the release of the first trailer for "Fortnite Treasure Hunters." The trailer showcases a significant amount of content, bringing characters and elements from the beloved anime and manga series to Epic Games' battle royale island.
This new season will feature a dedicated island for players to explore, which, despite the anime theme, will not be cel-shaded. The island is notably skull-shaped, and players will parachute in from the Going Merry, serving as a replacement for the traditional Battle Bus. The trailer hints at a variety of iconic One Piece items making their way into the game, including Luffy's Gum Gum Pistol ability, Nami's tangerines likely functioning as healing items, and Zoro's signature three-sword attack, which is expected to be a Mythic ability.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters is set to launch on November 1, coinciding with a new season of Fortnite Festival. While the full lineup of skins for the Battle Pass, Festival Pass, Fortnite Crew Pack, and Item Shop remains unconfirmed, previous teasers and the recent trailer have revealed several characters making an appearance. Confirmed characters include Kasane Teto, Hatsune Miku, A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Ace, Buggy, and Sanji.
Fans have noted that Sanji might be a bonus skin for the Battle Pass, similar to how Peely was featured in The Simpsons mini-season. His presence has been subtly hinted at in the trailer, with eagle-eyed players spotting his blonde hair in background elements like a golden car and a boat.
