Forza Horizon 6 for PlayStation 5 has been delayed to January 26, 2027, according to developer Playground Games. The game was originally slated for release this year. However, players who purchase the Premium Edition will gain early access on January 21, 2027.
This early access date coincides with the launch of the game's first premium expansion. Despite being labeled "premium," Playground Games has confirmed that this expansion will be a free content update for all players across all platforms. A physical disc version of Forza Horizon 6 will also be available for PlayStation 5 at launch.
The PlayStation 5 port is being handled by developer Panic Button, the same studio responsible for the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5. The game will feature a 4K/30 FPS Quality Mode, with a 60 FPS Performance Mode also confirmed. Details regarding performance on the PlayStation 5 Pro have not yet been shared.
Preordering Forza Horizon 6 will grant players the pre-tuned Ferrari J50, which will be added to their in-game garage after completing the prologue. The PlayStation 5 version will support cross-platform and cross-save functionality with Xbox and Steam editions. This cross-platform compatibility extends to user-generated content, ensuring PS5 players will have access to a wide array of community-created races, vehicles, liveries, and tuning setups from launch.
Forza Horizon 6 will be playable in early access on PlayStation 5 starting January 21, 2027, with its full release following on January 26, 2027.
