Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Version Reportedly Delayed to 2027, Will Receive Disc Release

The PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 6 has reportedly been delayed to January 26, 2027, according to a new report from billbil-kun. This timing shifts the release back by one year from the previously stated 2026 window. The report also indicates that the game will receive a physical disc edition alongside its digital availability.

Microsoft had initially stated in a September blog post that the PS5 edition of Forza Horizon 6 was on track for a 2026 release. However, it appears plans may have since changed, though Microsoft has not yet officially communicated any updates regarding the PS5 version's release date.

Forza Horizon 6 launched in May of this year for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game, which is set in Japan, garnered critical acclaim, including an 8/10 from GameSpot. The delay means PlayStation fans will have to wait longer to experience the latest installment in the series. Forza Horizon 5 was a considerable success on the PlayStation 5.

In related news, Microsoft recently announced the consolidation of Forza developers Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games into a single, unified studio. This strategic move aims to better support and expand the Forza brand moving forward.
