Forza Horizon 6 is set to receive a significant influx of content with the launch of its Series 3 update, dubbed ‘Italian Exotics,’ running from June 16 to August 13. Developer Playground Games has outlined a four-week schedule that includes new vehicles, a limited-time dealership takeover, and crucial updates aimed at addressing exploited gameplay mechanics and resetting leaderboards.

The ‘Italian Exotics’ series will introduce ten new cars, with three being new to the Forza Horizon franchise. Players can earn these vehicles by accumulating points throughout the series and specific seasons. Among the notable additions are the 1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5, 2004 Maserati MC12, and the 2017 Abarth 124 Spider. The series also features a special ‘Horizon Decades’ addition, the 2024 Lamborghini Temerario, which requires earning 80 points over the entire series.

Adding to the collection, the Aftermarket dealership near Horizon Stadium will temporarily feature six rare Italian cars. These vehicles are typically only accessible through Forza Horizon 6’s ‘Wheelspin’ prize mechanic, making this a limited-time opportunity to acquire them through in-game progression. The featured cars include models like the 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO and the 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR.

Alongside the new content, a recent update addresses several issues within the game. Playground Games has implemented improvements to reduce “excessive AI collisions” during corner entries. Furthermore, the Auction House price cap has been removed for cars not available through the in-game Autoshow. To combat exploits, the developer has nerfed XP and credit farming techniques associated with the Auto Drive feature and by making players un-challengeable in The Eliminator, disabling head-to-head races in that mode.

A major consequence of the recent update is the complete reset of all Rivals Leaderboards. Playground Games cited that the fixes included in the patch resolved glitches that allowed for the pollution of leaderboards with unrealistic times. The developer acknowledged this might be disappointing for players with legitimate times but stated the decision was made to ensure a “clean sheet” for all players moving forward. Importantly, any clean times posted that contributed to unlocking Collection Journal items for Rivals will remain unlocked.

A similar wipe of PR Stunt Leaderboards is also planned once fixes are implemented for glitches that have allowed players to achieve unrealistic scores. A specific timeline for this leaderboard reset has not yet been provided.

Separately, a new DLC pack, the Italian Passion Car Pack, is now available for Forza Horizon 6. This pack, included at no additional cost with the Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition or Premium Upgrade, features four Italian cars: the 2025 Ferrari F80, 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB4 Spider, 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, and the 1990 Alfa Romeo SE 048SP.
