Rockstar Games recently offered an extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6, with a gameplay deep-dive debuting on Netflix. While the presentation provided ample footage of Lucia and Jason's adventures in Vice City, it left several significant questions unanswered regarding the game's future and its specific features.

Grand Theft Auto Online's Future

Rockstar has emphasized that GTA 6 is a "single-player experience." However, the future of Grand Theft Auto Online, which remains a substantial revenue generator for Take-Two Interactive, is a key point of speculation. It is unclear whether Rockstar plans to develop an entirely new online component for GTA 6, integrate existing GTA Online features into the new game, or launch a separate online experience post-release. The company's strategy for its lucrative online service remains a significant unknown.

The Voice Cast Remains a Mystery

Despite showcasing nearly 30 minutes of gameplay featuring protagonists Lucia and Jason, Rockstar has yet to reveal the actors behind these characters. Historically, Grand Theft Auto titles have featured well-known actors from film and television, such as Ray Liotta in Vice City and Samuel L. Jackson in San Andreas. However, the lack of cast announcements for GTA 6 suggests a potential shift, similar to Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, where Rockstar utilized less widely known, but accomplished voice actors. This approach may help avoid potential leaks and manage casting costs.

Interpersonal Dynamics and Romance

The Netflix showcase confirmed that Jason and Lucia share living quarters, indicating a close working relationship. However, the extent of their romantic relationship, including whether they can engage in intimate interactions, remains unconfirmed. Rockstar North's Rob Nelson stated that players can choose to keep their relationship platonic, but that the narrative will necessitate them working together as partners. While explicit details on romantic gameplay are scarce, leaks have suggested the presence of strip clubs and a nudist colony, with a focus on diverse body representations, including full nudity.

Wildlife Encounters and Pet Mechanics

Grand Theft Auto 6's cover art features a notable alligator, and gators have appeared in previous trailers, alongside other wildlife like a pitbull in the recent footage. The potential for players to interact with or even keep wildlife, such as the alligator, as pets is a question that has arisen. Given the prevalence of such elements in previous installments and the game's setting in Florida, the possibility of domesticating dangerous animals remains an open point of discussion.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19.
