The sci-fi thriller From, which previously became the most-watched series on MGM+, is now making waves on Netflix. As of this writing, the show ranks as the second most-watched TV series in the United States on Netflix, according to data aggregator FlixPatrol. The first three seasons of From are currently available for streaming on Netflix, with the fourth and most recent season remaining exclusive to MGM+.
Each season of From has maintained a critical consensus above 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, with its third season achieving a perfect 100% score. The availability of the first three seasons on Netflix is part of a limited-time licensing agreement. While the exact departure date from Netflix has not been announced, it is expected to occur before the show's fifth and final season debuts on MGM+ in 2027.
About From
Created by John Griffin and executive produced by Jeff Pinkner and Jack Bender, From centers on a mysterious town from which no one can leave. The narrative begins with the Matthews family becoming trapped after encountering a road obstruction, only to find themselves looping through the same small town. The central mystery revolves around the reasons for their entrapment.
Led by de facto sheriff Boyd Stevens, portrayed by Harold Perrineau, and his second-in-command Kenny Liu, the town's inhabitants face nightly threats. Terrifying creatures emerge from the surrounding forest after dark, posing a lethal danger to anyone caught outside. The series explores the challenges of survival and the strain on societal structures as residents question their safety within "Fromville."
Season 5 Production
The fifth and final season of From is currently in production in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with filming scheduled to conclude by the end of November 2026. An official premiere date has not yet been set, but the season is anticipated to be released on MGM+ in 2027.
Cast members have shared glimpses of the upcoming season on social media. Ricky He, who plays Kenny, posted behind-the-scenes footage in August, hinting at potential resolutions. Hannah Cheramy, who portrays Julie Matthews, shared a viral TikTok video this summer suggesting a change in her character's appearance for the new season.
The final season is set to feature the return of key cast members, including Harold Perrineau as Boyd, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Tabitha, David Alpay as Jade, Elizabeth Saunders as Donna, Scott McCord as Victor, Ricky He as Kenny, Chloe Van Landschoot as Kristi, Corteon Moore as Ellis, Pegah Ghafoori as Fatima, Simon Webster as Ethan, Avery Konrad as Sara, and Hannah Cheramy as Julie.
