The initial closed network test for FromSoftware's highly anticipated game, The Duskbloods, experienced significant server issues, leading the studio to conclude the first session prematurely. Players attempting to join the test, which was scheduled to run from 3:00 a.m. PT to 7:00 a.m. PT, encountered persistent problems that prevented them from logging in, often leaving them stuck at the main menu.

In response to the disruption, FromSoftware issued an apology, stating, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone due to the game server issues during the first 'The Duskbloods' network test. We are truly sorry for this disruption while you were eagerly waiting, but we must regrettably conclude today's network test at this time." The studio assured participants that they would continue working on server improvements and provide further updates regarding the schedule for future sessions.

Despite this setback, the plan for additional closed network tests remains. Sessions are currently scheduled for later today, beginning at 7:00 p.m. PT, as well as on August 22 and 23 at various times. It remains to be seen how these server problems will impact the availability and stability of these upcoming tests. More details regarding the PvPvE multiplayer game, which is exclusive to the Switch 2, can be found in an extensive hands-on preview, and new gameplay footage has also been released.
