The initial closed network test for FromSoftware's The Duskbloods experienced significant server problems, forcing the studio to terminate the first session prematurely. The test was slated to run from 3:00 a.m. PT to 7:00 a.m. PT, but many registered participants were unable to connect, encountering issues at the main menu.

In response to the widespread login failures, FromSoftware issued an apology and announced the conclusion of the day's session. "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone due to the game server issues during the first "The Duskbloods" network test," the studio stated on their X account. "We are truly sorry for this disruption while you were eagerly waiting, but we must regrettably conclude today's network test at this time. We will continue working on server improvements, and we will provide further updates regarding future sessions."

Scheduled network test sessions were planned for later that evening, as well as on August 22 and 23. It remains unclear how these ongoing server difficulties will impact those future testing periods. The Duskbloods is described as a PvPvE multiplayer game, with further details available in a hands-on preview and accompanying gameplay footage.
