Frontier Developments, the studio acclaimed for its work on Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, and Jurassic World Evolution, has entered into an agreement with Disney to develop a new game. While specific details about the project are currently scarce, a press release indicates the game will draw upon the company's extensive experience and proven capabilities within the creative management simulation genre. This suggests an expectation for a Disney-themed simulation title.

Given the studio's prior success in adapting its simulation expertise to established intellectual properties, such as the Jurassic World Evolution franchise, it is plausible the game could involve a Disneyland park creator. Frontier Developments also previously developed Kinect: Disneyland Adventures in 2011, which was later re-released in a version playable without the Kinect motion sensor.

"We are delighted to announce this collaboration with Disney, which further reinforces our clearly defined strategy of developing and nurturing world-class creative management simulation game franchises," stated Frontier CEO Jo Cooke. "Our mission with this game is to connect a passionate creative community of players with one of the world's most iconic and beloved brands, and I can't wait to see what our talented teams will create with this amazing opportunity."

In addition to the newly announced Disney collaboration, Frontier Developments also confirmed it has another unannounced "Planet" simulation game in development. Planet Zoo 2 is scheduled for release in October, and the studio is also set to publish the strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch.
