Frostpunk 2 is set to receive its next downloadable content, The Surge, on December 14th. This DLC introduces a new scenario where players explore a mysterious valley rumored to hold a relic left by Nikola Tesla, capable of reshaping the world.
The core of The Surge revolves around the discovery and utilization of electricity. Players will learn to harness the power of the Great Storm to transform catastrophic whiteouts into valuable, stored resources. However, the new scenario will also feature internal conflicts, as various factions within the settlement will disagree on how this newfound electrical power should be managed. The secrets hidden within the valley itself are also expected to be a significant challenge for players to uncover.
The scenario takes place in an entirely new region, expanding the playable world beyond the areas explored in the base Frostpunk 2 game. Players will also have the opportunity to explore nearby caves and ruins for hidden treasures and further mysteries. The DLC is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
