Funnel Runners, a new online co-op survival game from Supernova Studios, tasks players with repairing a van to escape an encroaching tornado. The game, which frames the natural disaster as the primary antagonist, places up to eight players in a suburban setting where the main objective is to explore the environment and gather necessary parts to fix their escape vehicle.
Players will need to find components such as spare tires and engine oil to get the van operational. To aid in this scavenger hunt, players have access to tools like a flashlight for navigating dark buildings and a radar to track the tornado's location, which can even multiply during gameplay. The game also introduces other hazards like lightning and fire, adding to the peril.
Supernova Studios has stated that the game is technically complete but will launch in early access. This approach is intended to allow player feedback to influence the game's ongoing development. Future updates are planned to include new areas, weather events, hazards, and mission types, with the studio aiming for approximately one year in early access. Funnel Runners is currently available on Steam.
