Galax has issued a statement clarifying its operational status, refuting recent reports that claimed the graphics card brand was closing its factory. The company, a subsidiary of Palit, asserts that its business operations are "continuing as normal."
According to a report by El Chapuzas Informatico, industry sources suggested that Palit was planning to close the Galax factory amidst a significant reorganization of the Galax and KFA2 brands. However, Galax has explicitly denied these claims.
"No manufacturing facilities have been shut down, and Galax products remain available through our sales channels in both domestic and international markets," read a statement published on the Galax website, appearing under both Palit and Galax letterheads. This clarification marks the second time this year the company has addressed rumors of its closure.
While the reports of a factory closure are inaccurate, there is some truth to the idea of internal restructuring. Palit previously acknowledged integrating the management of the Galax, KFA2, and HOF brands under Palit's headquarters. Palit acquired the company, then known as Galaxy, in 2008 and has owned Galax since before its rebranding. This centralized management approach is consistent with previous statements made in April 2023, when similar rumors of Galax's discontinuation circulated. At that time, Palit confirmed that Galax was still operating and that Palit had already taken over its management.
The company emphasized that its products remain accessible, citing the recent launch of the Galax RTX 5080 HOF Extreme, a model encrusted with Swarovski crystals, as evidence of continued market presence.
