Game Informer Revisits Metal Gear Solid 4 With Master Collection Vol. 2

Game Informer is revisiting Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots with a new "Super Replay" stream series, made possible by the recent release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. The original title from Kojima Productions launched in 2008 and was positioned as the conclusion to Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear saga, aiming to resolve decades of complex narrative threads involving characters like Solid Snake, Ocelot, Otacon, and Raiden.

The game centers on an aging Solid Snake's race against time to thwart his nemesis, Liquid Snake. Metal Gear Solid 4 was recognized for its narrative, cinematic presentation, and advancements in stealth gameplay, notably the OctoCamo suit which allowed Snake to blend with his surroundings. Game Informer awarded the title a rare perfect 10/10 review score upon its initial release.

The "Super Replay" series features Charles Harte, experiencing Metal Gear Solid 4 for the first time, alongside long-time fan Marcus Stewart, who is revisiting the game after more than a decade. The stream began live on Twitch and YouTube, with subsequent episodes airing weekly for two hours until the game's conclusion. Viewers unable to watch live can find archived episodes on YouTube.
