The upcoming title Gears of War: E-Day will be available at launch for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, Microsoft has confirmed. This means players will not need to purchase the game separately if they are subscribed to the highest tier of the service.
Gears of War: E-Day is slated for release on October 6. Those who wish to play the game even earlier can opt for the Premium Edition Upgrade, which will grant access on October 1. This early access perk, along with bonus in-game content such as the Bravo Squad Signature Weapon Pack, five seasonal customization packs, and 1,000 Iron, requires an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription alongside the upgrade purchase. This early access also extends to the standalone Premium and Collector's Edition versions of the game.
While Gears of War: E-Day is exclusive to the Ultimate and PC tiers for day-one access, other titles in the series are available across different Game Pass options. Gears 5 is accessible to Game Pass Essential subscribers, while the rest of the core series and spin-offs are available for Game Pass Premium and Ultimate members on Xbox consoles. On PC, most of the modern titles and remakes are available via PC Game Pass, though Gears of War 2 and 3 are currently not officially ported for the platform.
