Sucker Punch Productions is expanding Ghost of Yōtei with a new single-player roguelike survival mode called "Most Wanted." This mode will be included as part of the game's Complete Edition, which also features the upcoming expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara. The new content is scheduled to launch on October 1.
In "Most Wanted," players will progress through increasingly difficult fights, employing various modifiers to overcome challenges. Successfully completing these objectives will unlock new playable characters, including Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima. He will arrive with his signature four katana stances, offering a distinct combat style.
Beyond Jin, other unlockable characters include Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato. According to Sucker Punch Productions' Andrew Goldfarb, Jin's model from Ghost of Tsushima was faithfully adapted for Ghost of Yōtei, with visual upgrades applied. His arsenal will feature the katana with all four stances, allowing players to exploit enemy weaknesses. He also begins with a Sticky Bomb and hankyu.
Jin's Ultimate ability in "Most Wanted" is the "Dance of Wrath" skill, a crowd-controlling move that targets multiple enemies and disarms them. His Kill Streak ability is "Ghost Stance," which can terrify nearby foes and allow for a limited number of instant kills.
The Complete Edition of Ghost of Yōtei is available digitally for $69.99, with the new content unlocking on October 1. Existing owners of the base game can upgrade to access the new content for $14.99. This announcement was made during PlayStation's recent State of Play broadcast.
