The long-awaited LEGO set based on the classic science fiction series The X-Files has been unveiled by star Gillian Anderson. The 1,478-piece set, officially titled X-Files (21369), will go on sale next month for $200.

Part of the LEGO Ideas range, which features fan-designed creations, the set includes eight minifigures: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman, and a grey alien. LEGO Insiders will have early access to the set starting August 1, with general availability beginning August 4. A limited-edition mini Gift With Purchase set, Scully's Lab, will also be available while supplies last.

To commemorate the release, LEGO published a short film featuring Anderson reprising her role as Dana Scully. In the video, she discovers the LEGO set and humorously remarks on the size of a Fox Mulder minifigure. The set itself offers a cutaway design showcasing an underground lab filled with show-specific Easter eggs. Above ground, Mulder and Scully are depicted in a forest setting with the grey alien, which can be positioned in front of a clear brick simulating a tractor beam supporting a UFO.

Internationally, the set will be priced at £179.99 in the UK, €199.99 in the EU, CAD$269.99 in Canada, and AU$329.99 in Australia.

This release coincides with other X-Files-related content. The R-Rated Director’s Cut of the 2008 film The X-Files: I Want to Believe, subtitled Vrach Frankenshteyn, is set to premiere on Hulu on August 14. Additionally, a reboot of The X-Files series is reportedly in development, with Ryan Coogler attached to helm the project.
