Sony revealed two limited edition Grand Theft Auto 6 PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers during a recent State of Play livestream. The controllers, one in black and the other in white, both feature palm tree leaf detailing and a color-shifting finish, along with the Grand Theft Auto 6 logo on the back. The touchpad also incorporates Roman numerals for the number six, styled in the distinctive GTA font and enhanced with palm tree graphics.

These special edition controllers will be available for pre-order exclusively through PlayStation Direct starting September 10, at 10 a.m. local time in each region. They are priced at $84.99 USD, with regional equivalents including €84.99, £74.99, and ¥12,480 (including tax).

While Rockstar Games has not specified the exact production numbers for these controllers, their limited nature, combined with the high demand seen for previous limited edition PlayStation hardware, suggests they are likely to sell out quickly. Previous limited releases, such as the 30th-anniversary bundle, experienced rapid sell-outs.

The announcement follows a significant gameplay reveal for Grand Theft Auto 6, which temporarily caused outages on streaming platforms like Netflix and Twitch due to immense viewership. This extended gameplay demonstration showcased various in-game features, including new side activities, an updated wanted system, and details on the romance and character bonding mechanics.
