A purported gameplay clip of Grand Theft Auto 6 has begun circulating online. The roughly minute-long video, initially shared by a group known as "Cyberleek," has been reposted across various platforms.
The footage shows protagonist Jason Duval in an oceanside setting, seemingly near the location featured in previous trailers. Within the clip, the player character can be seen interacting with a basketball, with a statistic indicating a 2% increase in "Focus" upon making a basket. The Heads-Up Display (HUD) also displays two distinct cash figures, likely representing on-hand and bank balances.
Another video, released shortly after the first, depicts the player driving a damaged vehicle, colliding with a delivery truck, and subsequently engaging in an altercation with the truck's driver.
In addition to the gameplay footage, "Cyberleek" has also published alleged screenshots of the in-game map. However, the artistic style of these images appears too simplistic to represent the final version of the game. A message accompanying one of the map images suggests that the leaks are a response to Rockstar's decision not to offer a physical release for Grand Theft Auto 6. These posts also contained links to external websites, with the leaker soliciting funds.
This apparent leak occurs shortly before the official gameplay reveal for Grand Theft Auto 6, scheduled to premiere on Netflix on August 27.
