Rockstar Games has officially announced the pricing for Grand Theft Auto 6, confirming the standard edition will retail for $79.99 in the United States. This price point represents an increase of approximately $10 over many other major releases for the current generation of consoles. The game is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

The Ultimate Edition of Grand Theft Auto 6, described by Rockstar as a package that "amplifies this experience with an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story," will be priced at $99.99.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 are scheduled to commence at midnight local time on June 25. Physical versions of the game will be available from November 12, allowing for pre-loading. All pre-orders and purchases made before November 20 will include the Vintage Vice City Pack, a collection of items inspired by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

It has also been confirmed that Grand Theft Auto Online will not be available at the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19. Rockstar stated in a press release that the initial release will be a "single player experience."

In separate news, Rockstar Games is currently involved in a legal dispute with the UK's Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB). The union previously accused the company of "union busting" following the dismissal of approximately 30 employees. An employment tribunal recently ruled against Rockstar Games' request to dismiss blacklisting claims from the ongoing dispute, with a trial set for September 10.
