Rockstar Games has confirmed that players who opt for the standard $80 edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 will be able to upgrade to the $100 Ultimate Edition for an additional $20. This upgrade path will be available for both digital purchases through the PlayStation and Xbox stores, as well as for the physical code-in-a-box version.

The Ultimate Edition of Grand Theft Auto 6, which is not sold in physical retail stores, includes a variety of extra in-game content. These bonuses are described as being "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story," with new items becoming accessible as players progress through the game's chapters. Exclusive features for the Ultimate Edition include access to certain in-game businesses such as a hair salon and a tattoo parlor, in addition to vehicles, weapons, and clothing.

All preorders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will receive The Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. The game is set to launch on November 19, with preloading beginning on November 10. Grand Theft Auto 6 will require 212GB of storage space. The game will officially unlock at midnight local time on its release date.
