Grand Theft Auto 6 to Feature Six Radio Stations and In-Car Podcasts

Grand Theft Auto 6 will offer players a robust audio experience with six distinct radio stations and a new series of podcasts, developer Rockstar Games has revealed. These audio options will be accessible not only within vehicles but also through the protagonists' smartphones, allowing for listening on foot.

The six confirmed radio stations span a range of genres. Cocoteo FM will feature modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata. Back Country Radio will deliver country music with DJs MW and Delta Dawne, alongside roving reporter Mud Dog Mike. AfroBank FM aims to showcase African music from DJs Burna and Palmsy, including 20th-century classics and newer tracks. For heavy metal fans, The Chamber 106.6 will offer a mix of classic and modern selections curated by DJs Kerry and Tom. Pop hits will be served on Flash FM by hosts Robyn and Alex. Finally, Dirty South Classics will provide regional rap and hip-hop classics with DJs Trick and Trina.

Rockstar Games previously hinted at an "next evolution of in-game radio, and more," promising a dynamic player experience. In addition to the in-game stations, GTA 6 will also feature a series of on-demand podcasts. Specific details about the podcast content have not yet been released, but Rockstar has indicated that more information will be forthcoming.

This expanded audio system follows a collaboration with Spotify to promote GTA 6, which includes a forthcoming album featuring 34 songs written specifically for the game, with contributions from artists like Keith Richards and Travis Scott.

In related news, leaked gameplay footage reportedly showing 25 minutes of new content, including cutscenes and a brief clip of protagonist Jason Duval, has surfaced online.
