Grand Theft Auto V Leaving PlayStation Plus Ahead of GTA 6 Launch

Grand Theft Auto V is set to be removed from PlayStation Plus for Extra and Premium subscribers on November 17, according to notifications reportedly received by users on Reddit. This departure comes just two days before the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19. The timing strongly suggests a strategic move by Sony and Rockstar to encourage players to transition to the upcoming title. The notification reportedly includes a link to the preorder page for GTA 6. "Whether you've yet to experience the tale of Franklin, Michael, and Trevor, or want to revisit it before Jason and Lucia's Vice City story begins, now's the time," the notice stated, according to reports. Grand Theft Auto V has previously been available on Xbox Game Pass, cycling in and out of the service, but it is not currently included. The impending removal from PlayStation Plus coincides with the recent release of the GTA 6 launch trailer, which offered a glimpse into the game's narrative featuring protagonists Jason and Lucia. GameSpot has compiled a list of 10 notable details observed in the trailer.
