IDW Publishing has announced that legendary comic writer Grant Morrison will pen a new ongoing James Bond series. The collaboration with Ian Fleming Publications Ltd. marks a significant new venture for the publisher.
Morrison's involvement was revealed at NYCC 2026. The initial six-part storyline is subtitled "Sunbreaker." Morrison expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating that the opportunity to contribute to such an iconic British character was irresistible. He described "Sunbreaker" as an attempt to deliver a definitive Bond story, incorporating beloved elements of the character and his world while introducing new challenges and threats. The storyline promises new vehicles, gadgets, and a major villain conceived as a response to contemporary headlines.
