A recent endeavor to mod Grand Theft Auto V into a functional weed-farming simulator has been unexpectedly complicated by conflicting in-game controls. The mod, named WeedFarm (based on PlantationV), aims to provide players with a comprehensive system for growing, harvesting, and selling marijuana.
Despite the presence of virtual farms, a designated dealer, and various other intended features, the mod proved non-functional for the player. The primary obstacle identified was the inability to rebind controls. The mod's master menu is assigned to the F3 key, which also triggers the game's street golfing feature and prompts the player to equip a jetpack.
This control conflict meant that every attempt to access the weed farming menu instead initiated a golf game or offered a jetpack. The player also discovered that their melee attacks now detonate on impact, a phenomenon they could not explain, further complicating interactions within the game world.
This situation highlights the potential for modding conflicts in complex games like Grand Theft Auto V, where numerous scripts and functionalities can interact in unforeseen ways. The player's quest to cultivate virtual cannabis was thus derailed by an unshakeable desire to play golf and an abundance of jetpacks.
