A significant data leak originating from Rockstar Games has surfaced online, revealing details about canceled Grand Theft Auto V downloadable content and an early iteration of the Grand Theft Auto VI map. The leaked data appears to stem from the same security breach that initially exposed Grand Theft Auto VI in 2022.
Among the most notable findings are remnants of planned single-player DLC for Grand Theft Auto V, including content centered around Liberty City and a character known as 'Agent Trevor'. Additionally, an early version of the Grand Theft Auto VI map has been discovered and can reportedly be loaded into Grand Theft Auto V.
Canceled Grand Theft Auto V Content
Details regarding the Liberty City DLC have been highlighted by GTA YouTuber TJGM. While the gameplay footage shared is from a canceled mod rather than the leaked material itself, the leak provides a map of audio loading zones. This map suggests a larger and differently laid-out Liberty City compared to its appearance in Grand Theft Auto IV. The 'Agent Trevor' files appear to be more substantial, with a user named 'affmal' on X sharing a comprehensive mission list and exploring map and model data within Grand Theft Auto V. This exploration has uncovered an 'underwater base map' described as being reminiscent of Deus Ex.
Early Grand Theft Auto VI Map
TJGM has also shared screenshots of an early Grand Theft Auto VI map loaded into Grand Theft Auto V. This unfinished map, reportedly dating back to 2015, includes markers for areas such as "Alligator Farm," "Coast Guard," and "Disused Theme Park." Comparisons have been drawn between these early map locations and corresponding areas shown in Grand Theft Auto VI trailers.
This latest leak adds to a series of significant data disclosures that have marked the lead-up to Grand Theft Auto VI's release. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, initially for consoles. While Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has acknowledged the increasing importance of the PC platform, a release date for the PC version has yet to be announced.
