GTA 6 Dog Poop Gameplay Revealed in South Park Episode

Grand Theft Auto VI has made an unexpected appearance in the latest episode of South Park, titled "Guinea Pig On A Stick." The episode presented approximately 20 seconds of exclusive, in-engine gameplay footage that notably showcased the game's controversial dog poop mechanic.

During a scene where the main characters visit a cattle ranch, a woman enthusiastically introduces the upcoming title. "The graphics are seriously next level," she states, gesturing to the gameplay. "You see the worldbuilding? It’s a dog taking a poop. And people can pick up the dog poop. You can throw things at the person with dog poop, and if they choose to fight back, you can pick up the dog poop and actually attack them with the dog poop. That is what’s coming in November."

The depicted gameplay involves a dog defecating on a beach, with the player character, Jason, attacking an NPC dog walker. The interaction escalates when the dog poop is used as a projectile, exploding in the NPC's face, initiating a potential fight.

The voice actor for the character hyping up GTA 6 was confirmed in the episode credits as Tish Hicks, who previously narrated the Grand Theft Auto V gameplay trailer. Rockstar Games had previously confirmed the dog poop mechanic, but seeing it in action provides a glimpse into the game's detailed NPC interactions and environmental density, elements that have been central to official pre-release materials.

South Park has a history of satirizing video games, with its 2006 World of Warcraft episode being a notable example. The show has also frequently referenced Rockstar Games' titles, particularly with episodes "Time to Get Cereal" and "Nobody Got Cereal?" heavily featuring Red Dead Redemption 2.

With Grand Theft Auto VI's release date of November 19 approaching, Rockstar has intensified its marketing efforts. Recent revelations include a significant game mechanic being named after a popular Grand Theft Auto IV meme and details suggesting the game's map will open up relatively early, allowing for extensive free exploration.
