Rockstar Games will offer an in-depth look at Grand Theft Auto VI today, August 27, through an "Extended Look" event on Netflix. The broadcast is slated to run for 26 minutes, according to an updated listing within the Netflix app, suggesting a more substantial presentation than a typical trailer. This extended runtime is expected to provide a deep dive into the world of GTA 6, a significant development for fans who have only seen two trailers and limited details since the game's initial announcement in 2023.

Netflix's announcement for the Extended Look confirmed that all content featured in the broadcast was captured entirely from in-game footage on the PlayStation 5. This aligns with previous information, as the May 2025 trailer for GTA 6 was also captured on the standard PlayStation 5 console, not a more powerful variant. This partnership and content capture likely stem from a co-marketing agreement between Sony and Rockstar Games for GTA 6. The game's in-game consoles and controllers also bear a resemblance to PlayStation's own devices.

The Extended Look is scheduled to begin today at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on Netflix. For those unable to watch the initial broadcast, the content will also be made available on YouTube at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET.

This showcase arrives after Grand Theft Auto VI experienced multiple significant gameplay leaks. Rockstar Games previously stated that these leaks were "heartbreaking" for the development team.

Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The sequel to Grand Theft Auto V arrives after a 13-year wait from fans, building considerable anticipation.
