A Grand Theft Auto 6 enthusiast in Brazil has shared a story of receiving an official poster from Rockstar Games after politely inquiring about one. The fan, known as aogustoo on Reddit, described the interaction as a "shot-in-the-dark email" that surprisingly yielded positive results.
According to aogustoo's account, they reached out to Rockstar Games expressing their excitement for GTA 6 and asking if there was any possibility of obtaining a poster for their room. Expecting either an automated response or no reply at all, the fan was astonished when an executive from Rockstar not only responded but also arranged for an official GTA 6 poster to be shipped from their New York office to Brazil.
The fan shared images that appear to show the poster alongside the email correspondence. While it remains unclear how frequently Rockstar engages in such gestures, the community has viewed this as a notable act of goodwill, particularly as the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 approaches. Content creator @videotech noted on X, formerly Twitter, that the gesture was particularly kind given the recipient was not a celebrity or influencer but simply a "random Rockstar fan."
Aogustoo emphasized the importance of privacy by redacting personal information from the shared images and cautioned others against flooding Rockstar's inbox with similar requests, suggesting this was likely a rare act of kindness from an individual within the company. The upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S is highly anticipated. Rockstar recently shared details including new screenshots, information on radio stations, and IGN's interview with Rockstar North's Rob Nelson.
