An individual or group known as ‘CyberLeek’ has released two more gameplay videos of Grand Theft Auto 6, continuing a trend of leaks that has drawn legal action from Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive. The latest releases include footage of a supercar driving and an armed robbery, as well as a scene set in a strip club.
The strip club gameplay segment appears to directly address Take-Two and Rockstar, featuring a character's dialogue line about needing to "take a leak." This is the eighth gameplay video to leak this week, raising concerns that the leaker possesses a build of the game that could reveal significant story spoilers.
Each leaked video has also featured advertisements for the ‘CyberLeek’ memecoin, which is widely believed to be part of a cryptocurrency scheme. Take-Two has responded to the ongoing leaks by issuing Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) subpoenas in federal court. These subpoenas seek identifying information from Microsoft and Discord associated with user accounts involved in the leaks, particularly those linked to a Discord server frequented by Australian GTA content creator Matthew "Matt" Judge, also known as DarkViperAU. Judge has denied any involvement.
Earlier this week, Take-Two also issued a DMCA takedown notice to GitHub, demanding the complete removal of a repository containing the stolen content. The company is seeking all relevant internal records from Microsoft to identify the user or entity behind the ‘cyberleek’ persona. The subpoenas were granted by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Xbox Chief Technical Officer Scott Van Vliet confirmed that Microsoft is cooperating with Take-Two and Rockstar to protect intellectual property. Discord stated that it reviews and complies with valid DMCA subpoenas as a standard procedure.
Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have released an official statement regarding the leaks or the legal proceedings. Reports indicate that Rockstar is still unaware of how the leaks occurred or who is responsible, though internal frustration and anger have been noted. Despite these events, plans for a planned Netflix reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6, titled "Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look," remain on schedule for August 27. The extended look will initially be exclusive to Netflix for six hours before becoming available on other platforms, including YouTube.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026.
