The individual known as Cyberleek, responsible for a significant Grand Theft Auto VI leak in August, has reportedly released another unauthorized gameplay video. This latest leak allegedly features the character Lucia in a state of full nudity and appears to be tied to the leaker's cryptocurrency promotion.
However, a growing number of fans and observers are expressing skepticism, suggesting that the nudity effect may not represent an intended in-game feature but rather the result of using a developer build or in-game cheats. Concerns have been raised that these leaked videos do not accurately reflect the final state of GTA 6.
Cyberleek had previously stated a goal to reach a $4 million market cap for their memecoin, promising a video of Lucia fully naked upon achievement. This milestone was reportedly met over the weekend, leading to the release of the new footage. A key point of contention is the lack of reaction from non-player characters in the game world to the nudity displayed by Lucia and, in a previous leak, Jason. This, along with the earlier observation of a tank being spawned into the game world, has led to speculation that Cyberleek has access to a developer menu or has employed cheats.
One theory posits that the nudity could be present in a specific mission, such as one set in a nudist resort, where players might see both characters unclothed. At present, there is no official confirmation whether GTA 6 will feature either character naked at any point.
Cyberleek's activities have also included threats towards Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. The leaker has claimed they will release a full playthrough of the game's story if their demands for an on-disc release and a public apology are not met, alongside a target of $30 million for their memecoin's market cap. The primary motivation behind these leaks appears to be financial gain through cryptocurrency.
Further leaks seem imminent, with Cyberleek polling the public on the release of a "Lucia closeup 4k video." The market capitalization of the associated cryptocurrency is volatile; at the time of this report, it stood at $2.7 million, having peaked at $8.4 million on October 11, making the $30 million target appear distant.
Following the major August leaks, Take-Two initiated an investigation and issued subpoenas to platforms like Discord in an effort to identify the responsible party. Cyberleek resurfaced last week with a 24-minute gameplay video showcasing cutscenes, story elements, and first-person perspectives, in addition to the previously seen nudity.
Rockstar Games previously addressed the August leaks, describing the situation as "heartbreaking" for the development team and "unfortunate" for players, acknowledging that spoilers might impact the intended experience while reaffirming the game's confirmed release date of November 19.
Analysis of cryptocurrency transactions in August suggested that the GTA 6 leaker had cashed out, earning approximately $270,000. The videos consistently directed viewers to a website where they could influence further leaks through cryptocurrency-based voting. A poll for this purpose is reportedly active on Cyberleek's website.
The success of Take-Two's efforts to apprehend the leaker may depend on their ability to compel social media platforms and cryptocurrency exchanges to disclose any personal information associated with the individuals responsible.
