GTA 6 Leaker Releases New 25-Minute Video Featuring Nude Protagonist

The individual known as Cyberleek, responsible for previously leaking footage from a Grand Theft Auto 6 development build, has resurfaced with a new 25-minute video. This latest clip is reportedly being shared across social media platforms and forums such as r/GamingLeaksAndRumours. A significant element of the new footage is protagonist Jason appearing in a state of full nudity for extended periods, with his genitals fully modeled and animated.

This follows previous leaks that also showcased nude NPCs. However, it remains unclear if players will be able to engage in similar behavior in the final retail version of the game, as the current footage may have been captured using developer tools. Evidence of this includes the appearance of a floating tank and the use of console commands. Additionally, NPCs in the video do not react to Jason's nakedness, and the clip displays first-person driving, a feature previously reported to be absent in Grand Theft Auto 6.

IGN previously reported on seeing a nude Jason during a cutscene in an official preview, but his modesty was maintained through camera angles. The inclusion of full frontal male nudity for a prominent character would not be unprecedented for the Grand Theft Auto series, as it appeared in the Grand Theft Auto 4 expansion, The Lost and Damned.

In the new clip, co-protagonist Lucia is also depicted topless, facing away from the camera and wearing a thong. It is not confirmed whether this attire was a choice made by the leaker or if it reflects the game's in-development content.

Evolving Standards of In-Game Nudity

The emergence of such content in Grand Theft Auto 6, regardless of its final implementation, contrasts sharply with past controversies, such as the 'Hot Coffee' incident in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The current online discourse surrounding in-game nudity appears more desensitized compared to earlier eras, exemplified by past media outrage over similar content in games like Mass Effect.

While societal views on such matters continue to evolve, the increasing mainstream acceptance of video games and their aging player base may contribute to a greater tolerance for mature content, aligning more closely with what is common in other media like film and television. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are reportedly still attempting to identify the source of these leaks.
