The individual known as Cyberleek, who has been responsible for numerous leaks of Grand Theft Auto 6 footage since August, has now set a new condition for releasing a more substantial portion of the game. Cyberleek has stated that if their memecoin reaches a market capitalization of $30 million, they will release a playable build of GTA 6 that includes the "full story mode," complete with endgame content and credits.
In a statement, Cyberleek outlined the terms: "CYBERLEEK hits 30 million marketcap, the build goes out – full story mode, played to the end, credits and all. Don't believe it has full story mode? Ask for what you want to see, and it gets provided." The leaker also suggested a potential escape route for publisher Take-Two Interactive: "Take-Two gets one way out: physical disks and a public apology." This proposition aligns with Cyberleek's past actions, which have been characterized by a pattern of consumer rights complaints framed in a Robin Hood-esque manner.
The credibility of Cyberleek's claim to possess a full story mode build is bolstered by previous leaks, one of which concluded with the word "LEEK" being displayed by machinegun fire on a wall, serving as proof of access. However, playing an early build of GTA 6, especially on PC, could present a suboptimal experience. This development comes as the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for a November 19 release on consoles, with a PC version expected later. The proximity of the launch date might diminish interest in such leaks for some, though the possibility of an early, albeit potentially unpolished, glimpse into the game's narrative may still entice a segment of the player base.
