GTA 6 Leaker Threatens to Release Story Spoilers If Caught

The notorious Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker known as Cyberleek has issued a threat to release the game's story spoilers, including its ending, should they be caught. In a recent post accompanying new leaks, Cyberleek indicated that they possess details about the game's conclusion and considered leaking it to "punish Take-Two greatly."

Despite this threat, Cyberleek stated that leaking the ending would diminish the player experience and has so far only shared out-of-context clips from the game's final missions. However, the leaker affirmed that a "dead man's switch is active" and story spoilers will be made public if Cyberleek is apprehended.

The latest unofficial videos circulating feature new hairstyles and depict protagonist Lucia collecting a joint, which is added to her "Cigarettes & Drugs" inventory. The leaks also showcase more clothing customization options, potentially including early glimpses of tie-in uniforms for the Miami Heat. Clips from what is believed to be the final mission, "The End of the Road," have also been released. Details of these potential spoilers have been shared by users on Reddit.

Cyberleek's Cryptocurrency Scheme Falters

Cyberleek also addressed the failure of its cryptocurrency scheme, which aimed to release the full game build upon reaching a $30 million goal. Cyberleek had requested donations, promising further clips and eventually the complete game if certain milestones were met. Following the release of unmoderated clips, including nude gameplay of Lucia, the value of the Cyberleek coin reportedly saw a sharp decline.

"Sad, the negativity — and how few believe anything real is behind this. CL was transparent about the token from day one: a donation, never an investment," Cyberleek stated. "It changed nothing — influencers decided the story before the facts arrived. The Edict stands. The leeks stop here. For now."

If Cyberleek adheres to this statement, further leaks are unlikely before Grand Theft Auto 6 launches next month on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, it remains to be seen if Cyberleek's "dead man's switch" is a genuine safeguard or an empty threat should the leaker face legal consequences similar to other hacking groups.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on November 19.
