Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to launch on PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to a report citing four individuals familiar with Rockstar Games' plans. This places the PC release approximately three months after the game's anticipated console debut in November 2026.
Rockstar Games has historically followed a pattern of releasing its major titles on consoles first, with PC versions arriving later. For instance, Grand Theft Auto 5 launched on consoles in September 2013 and did not arrive on PC until April 2015. Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 took over a year to reach PC after its console release.
If this latest report proves accurate, the wait for PC players would be significantly shorter than in previous instances, positioning the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6 as a near-simultaneous launch with its console counterparts, albeit with a few months' delay. Rockstar Games has not yet officially confirmed any release details for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6.
