GTA 6 PC Release Reportedly Slated for Early 2027

Grand Theft Auto VI is reportedly planned for a PC release in the first quarter of 2027, according to a report citing four sources familiar with Rockstar Games' plans. This timeline would place the PC launch only a few months after the console release, scheduled for November 19th, 2025. This is a shorter gap than many had anticipated, given Rockstar's past strategy with Grand Theft Auto V, which saw a significant delay between its console and PC versions.

If accurate, the early 2027 PC release window could align with expectations for the game's online component. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy previously indicated that a multiplayer element for GTA 6 was expected in 2027. Launching the PC version relatively soon after consoles could also be a strategy to capitalize on the lucrative nature of GTA Online, which has been a major revenue stream for Rockstar.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously acknowledged the increasing importance of the PC platform for the company's financial performance, suggesting a desire to bring titles to PC players sooner rather than later. However, some remain skeptical about the early 2027 PC release. The report from GamesBeat notes that Rockstar Games did not provide comment when approached for a statement.
