Grand Theft Auto VI may arrive on PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to a report citing sources familiar with Rockstar Games' plans. This potential release window places the PC version between two and five months after the game's planned launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in November 2024.
If accurate, this would represent a significantly shorter wait for PC players compared to Rockstar's previous major releases. Grand Theft Auto V, for example, launched on consoles in September 2013 but did not reach PC until April 2015. Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 debuted on consoles in October 2018, with its PC version following over a year later in November 2019.
While Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed the PC release date, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously acknowledged the growing importance of non-console platforms. He noted that the company typically does not launch titles across all platforms simultaneously, indicating a strategic approach to staggered releases that might explain a shorter PC exclusivity period for GTA 6.
