Grand Theft Auto VI is currently slated to release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Take-Two Interactive's recent quarterly briefing. The publisher confirmed the launch date remains unchanged, a point of reassurance for fans amid speculation about potential delays.

During a Take-Two earnings call on August 7, CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the company's financial projections, which are partly based on the anticipated success of Rockstar Games' highly anticipated open-world title. "With these positive trends and excitement around the November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto 6, we are reiterating our Fiscal 2027 Net Bookings outlook of $8 billion to $8.2 billion," Zelnick stated.

Past delays and shifting launch dates for Rockstar titles have led to recurring concerns about potential further postponements for Grand Theft Auto VI. Despite a former Rockstar Games employee suggesting the game could face an additional six-month delay, Take-Two's confirmation indicates a commitment to the current release schedule. Fans will have an opportunity to see more of the game when Netflix hosts an extended look at GTA 6 on August 27. This exclusive content will be available on the streaming platform for several hours.
