Ned Luke, the actor who voiced Michael De Santa in Grand Theft Auto V, has firmly rejected the notion that Grand Theft Auto VI appears too similar to its predecessor. Luke stated in a recent stream with Party Chat and House of Highlights that the upcoming title "looks nothing like Grand Theft Auto 5," adding that players who believe otherwise "are out of their minds."

Luke also commented on the character models, noting that his own character in GTA V "never looked that good" compared to the updated designs in GTA 6. He further praised the game's "jiggle physics" in his reaction to the recent trailer.

While Grand Theft Auto VI will undoubtedly carry forward Rockstar's established formula of open-world exploration and evading law enforcement, Luke's assertion points to significant visual and technical advancements. Experts at Digital Foundry have described GTA 6 as the most visually advanced game ever created. The game's world is reportedly three times larger than that of Red Dead Redemption 2. Furthermore, GTA 6 is set to feature "well over 600,000 animations," a substantial increase from GTA V's 55,000 and Red Dead Redemption 2's 300,000.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game arrives amidst immense anticipation, following the monumental success of GTA V, which has sold over 230 million copies. Preorder data from Sensor Tower indicates that GTA 6 has already secured 4.55 million sales, generating approximately $450 million in revenue.
