A new update for Grand Theft Auto Online introduces the Kortz Center Heist, an activity that demands a substantial initial investment from players. The heist is reportedly the most expensive to initiate in the game, with starting costs exceeding $15 million. However, possessing the funds is only the first step; several prerequisites must be met before players can embark on this new criminal endeavor.

To begin the Kortz Center Heist, players first need to own a mansion. These properties can be purchased through the in-game phone from the Prix Luxury Real Estate broker. The Richman Villa is recommended due to its proximity to the Kortz Center. If a player already owns multiple properties, setup missions can be initiated from one mansion and completed at another if it offers a more convenient location.

Beyond a mansion, an Art Studio is also a mandatory requirement to complete the heist. This studio can be added to a purchased mansion through renovation. Without any in-game discounts, acquiring both the mansion and the Art Studio could total approximately $16.2 million. Once these prerequisites are met, players can access the Art Studio, located on the second basement level of their mansion.

Following a brief introductory cutscene within the Art Studio, players will be tasked with completing five setup missions. These missions are similar in structure to those found in the Diamond Casino Heist, involving tasks such as scoping out the Kortz Center, acquiring necessary infiltration gear, obtaining unmarked weapons, securing getaway vehicles, and gathering essential equipment. Players also have the option to undertake additional, optional setup missions. These optional tasks may include missions related to guard shipments and routes, acquiring power drills, and obtaining a glass cutter.

While the initial outlay for starting the Kortz Center Heist is significant, subsequent playthroughs appear to be far more affordable, with costs around $100,000. A screenshot from the GTA Online Kortz Center Heist setup.
