As Halloween approaches, fans of the horror franchise can soon celebrate with new downloadable content for "Halloween: The Game." Developer Illfonic has announced four DLC packs scheduled to launch on October 27th, introducing new ways to customize the experience, including character skins and outfits. However, some players have noted the $9.99 price tag for individual Michael Myers skins as potentially high for cosmetic items.
New Content Breakdown
The upcoming DLC includes:
- A Michael Myers skin inspired by "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers"
- A Michael Myers skin based on his appearance in "Halloween (2018)"
- A character pack featuring Michelle and Eugene
- A Civilian Costumes Pack with 14 character skins and Halloween-themed outfits
The "Halloween 5" and "Halloween (2018)" Michael Myers skins will each cost $9.99. The Michelle and Eugene Character Pack is also priced at $9.99. The Civilian Costumes Pack, which includes 14 skins and 42 tints, will be available for $9.99.
Free Map Addition
In addition to the paid content, a new map, "Tower Farm," will be available for free to all players. This map is inspired by "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers" and offers a variety of environments for both survivors to hide and Michael Myers to stalk.
Illfonic has stated that all gameplay-affecting additions will be free, ensuring that players who do not purchase the cosmetic DLCs will not be at a disadvantage. This approach aims to allow all owners of "Halloween: The Game" to enjoy new gameplay elements without feeling excluded by the paid content.
