Halo: Campaign Evolved is offering cross-platform play at launch, allowing players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S to team up. Early access for the game begins on July 23 for those who have pre-ordered the Premium Edition.
To enable cross-platform play, players will need to know their friend's Gamertag or Username. This can then be added to an Xbox friends list through the Xbox website, the Xbox Game Bar on PC, or the Xbox mobile app. Once added and online, friends can be invited to a party from the "Cross-Platform Friends" list within the "Play Co-op" menu.
Access to Halo: Campaign Evolved's early period requires a preorder of the $70 Premium Edition. The Standard Edition, priced at $50, can be upgraded to the Premium Edition for an additional $20, bringing the total cost to that of the Premium Edition. Players who have access via Xbox Game Pass can also upgrade to the Premium Edition for $20.
Preordering either the Standard or Premium Edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved includes the Foundry Armory Pack, which features cosmetic items for Master Chief's Mark V Mjolnir armor. The Premium Edition offers additional bonuses, including a digital artbook, a short story, a game manual, five exclusive Master Chief armor skins, and six weapon skins.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 28. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass on its launch day.
