Haunted Chocolatier developer Eric Barone has stated his reluctance to share extensive details or screenshots of the game while it is still in development. Barone, known for his work on Stardew Valley, explained in a recent blog post that he prefers to avoid revealing too much too soon, likening the practice to serving "half-baked bread."

Barone elaborated that sharing incomplete elements risks disappointing players if the final product does not meet their expectations. "I would rather serve a fully baked bread," he wrote. Given that the game is not near completion, many features and systems could still change significantly before release. This approach aims to prevent early excitement for elements that might not make it into the final game.

While some developers adopt a strategy of drip-feeding content through demos and regular blog posts, Barone is taking a different route. He noted that he is in a position where extensive marketing is not a necessity, a situation no doubt influenced by Stardew Valley's sales exceeding 35 million copies. Instead, he is adhering to his preferred development method, focusing on gradually bringing Haunted Chocolatier to its final form.
