Anakin Skywalker actor Hayden Christensen has shared a peculiar anecdote about a home invasion where the burglar, upon recognizing him, returned the stolen items. The incident occurred years ago, with Christensen recounting the event on stage at L.A. Comic Con, as reported by The Nerd Wire.
Christensen described being upstairs when he heard his door open. Upon confronting the burglar, he found the intruder holding his possessions. "I'm like, is this a delivery guy?" Christensen stated, recalling his initial confusion. "And I look and I'm like, this is all my stuff."
Remarkably, the situation took an unexpected turn when the burglar, who was reportedly struggling financially and attempting to secure a train ticket home, expressed remorse. In an act that echoed Jedi principles, Christensen offered the man clothes and shoes to aid in job interviews, and promised to drive him to the train station and buy his ticket the following day. The burglar, however, did not appear for their scheduled meeting.
Christensen is well-known for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, appearing in Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. He later reprised his role in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi and Star Wars: Ahsoka. He is set to return as Anakin Skywalker in the second season of Ahsoka, which is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on January 20, 2027. Christensen has expressed a deeper connection to the character in recent years, noting that having more time to contemplate and understand Anakin has enriched his portrayal.
