HBO Max is set to receive a significant influx of content in November, with Warner Bros. announcing a wide range of additions including classic Christmas films, new A24 releases, and the continuation of popular series.
The Gilded Age Season 4 Premieres
The latest season of HBO's period drama, The Gilded Age, will debut on November 1, filling the Sunday night slot. The series, created by Julian Fellowes of Downton Abbey fame, is set in late-19th century New York and will release new episodes weekly through mid-December, building anticipation for HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series.
A24's Tony Hits Streaming
Matthew Johnson's critically acclaimed Anthony Bourdain biopic, Tony, will also be available on HBO Max in November. The film, which loosely adapts early chapters of Kitchen Confidential, has been praised for its portrayal of Bourdain's early culinary career. It was lauded by IGN as "one of the finest and thorniest coming-of-age films in recent years."
Planet of the Apes Marathon
Four installments of the Planet of the Apes franchise are scheduled to arrive on November 2. The collection includes Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), and the recent Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024). This quartet explores an alternate timeline from the original 1968 film.
Superhero Additions and Holiday Cheer
For superhero fans, HBO Max will be adding The Wolverine (2013), which IGN previously reviewed with a 9/10, calling it "the Wolverine movie we've always wanted." The infamous Madame Web will also be available. As expected, November will see a massive addition of classic Christmas movies, including Elf, A Christmas Carol, Christmas With the Kranks, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, among many others, alongside the service's annual "Yule Log" ambient videos.

Details regarding specific promotions are expected closer to the date.
